- develop clear career planning through individual career interviews
- find work experience and learning opportunities in local workplaces
- connect with community organisations and industry partners for information, work experience or a job
- attain nationally accredited qualifications including RSA, RCG, Whitecard and First Aid
- prepare a resume and be ready for job interviews
- succeed in undertaking vocational education training and apprenticeships while still at school
- apply for early entry to University schemes, scholarships and more.
The Careers team also organise a variety of events throughout the year that highlight different career pathways, from TAFE and the University of Newcastle orientation days, to in-school and offsite presentations and hands-on workshops with industry experts.
