Our extra-curricular highlights
Callaghan Tutoring Program
Year 12 students excelling in Mathematics and Humanities subjects are available in study and break sessions to support Year 11 students across various subjects. This voluntary program not only provides a dedicated space for students to learn from each other; it opens up new connections across the campus.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. Jesmond students have regularly been invited to perform at State events including Schools Spectacular, ARTEXPRESS, Onstage, along with local events, Star Struck and Callaghan's annual Showcase.
Trips and excursions
Every faculty at Jesmond works hard to find opportunities to inspire students. From sporting competitions to excursions to the Opera House or our local wetlands, students enjoy getting out of the classroom to compete, explore, and experience first-hand how their learning applies to the world around them.
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating, public speaking and mock trials. Jesmond has a stellar reputation for outstanding speakers competing in the annual Lyons Public Speaking competition.
