Community involvement
Callaghan College values strong partnerships with our families and the communities around us. We appreciate your time and support for students in our learning environments, and for the opportunities you help create beyond the classroom.
Thank you to our partners
Learning partners
We are proud to be part of the Callaghan Education Pathways network of schools that support students from pre-K to Year 12. Our principals and staff connect throughout the year to provide a strong transition program across the critical learning stages.
We also undertake professional learning together and make the time to share knowledge amongst our staff, providing consistent teaching practices so that students experience a continuum of learning in our education network.
Academic partners
We have a long-established partnership with The University of Newcastle. Students have access to orientation and early entry schemes, HPGE programs, STEM competitions and a range of other opportunities.
Our partnership also extends to staff with reciprocal professional learning between the Uni and our campuses. Callaghan College is also a professional learning hub for pre-service teachers completing their professional experience in schools before commencing their careers.
